Smarter Proposal Emails
Proposals are one of the most effective tools for converting prospective students into enrolled ones. We’ve improved the proposal email delivery so your clients get the right communication at the right time.
What’s New:
- Improved Proposal Email Delivery: Proposal reminder emails are now only triggered when a client attempts to access an expired proposal link, preventing unexpected repeat emails that were causing confusion for studio owners and clients.
The Benefits of Proposals
- Send a real enrollment offer: Give prospective clients a priced quote they can review and accept directly from the proposal.
- Hold the slot while they decide: Optionally reserve the lesson spot while the client considers the offer.
- Track every proposal: Follow progress in the Proposals report with Sent, Reviewed, and Accepted statuses so nothing falls through the cracks.

Timezone Updates for Online Lesson Reminders
For schools teaching online students across different regions, getting appointment reminders right matters. These updates make sure every client sees the correct local time in every reminder they receive.
What’s New:
- Preferred Timezone on Client Profiles: Online students can now set a Preferred Time Zone on their profile. Appointment reminder emails will display the correct local time for where they are, not the timezone of your online location.
- Timezone Label in Appointment Reminders: Reminders now display the full time and timezone in every message. Clients see “June 3 at 6:00 AM EDT” rather than just a time, removing any ambiguity.

Group Classes, Upgraded: Move Students, Manage Holds, and Enroll With Confidence
Group class admin adds up fast with one-off reschedule requests, enrollment slip-ups, and students going on extended breaks. These three updates cut down the time and steps it takes to handle each of those moments. These updates are among several upcoming upgrades to Group Class functionality in Opus1 (currently called Sessions).
What’s New:
- Simple Class Moves: — When a group class student needs to switch to a different session date, your team can now cancel their attendance and rebook them into another date of the same service in one quick workflow. No more multi-step cancellation, credit use, and re-enrollment process, just a convenient, time-saving way to handle one-time scheduling changes as they come in.
- Selection Summary in Enrollment Flow: Admins now see a summary of their student and class selections before completing checkout, making it easy to confirm exactly what you’re enrolling a student in before the enrollment goes through.
- Subscription Holds for Monthly Session Subscriptions: When a group class student is going on an extended break, place their subscription on hold with just a few clicks. Opus1 automatically cancels their attendance for the hold dates, prorates their invoice, and opens their slot for drop-in students in their absence.

Set Makeup Credit Expiration Rules That Match Your Policies
You’ve always been able to configure cancellation policies in Opus1. Now, by popular request, you have one more lever: the ability to calculate credit expiration relative to the original appointment date, so your makeup credit rules reflect exactly how your school operates.
What’s New:
- Expiration date tied to the original lesson date: Set credit expiration as a number of days after the original appointment or session date — not the cancellation date
- Works with your existing policy setup: Fully compatible with all current cancellation policy configurations, including locking credits until the corresponding invoice is paid
- Handles rescheduled lessons correctly: Credit expiration is calculated using the lesson’s date at the moment of cancellation, so moved lessons don’t create policy exceptions
- Optional toggle, no disruption: Existing policies are unaffected unless you choose to enable the new setting
